“Daisy Jones & The Six uses a documentary-style frame to tell the story of the titular band, who got huge in the 1970s and then just stopped — stopped making music after one album, stopped touring after one sold-out nationwide jaunt, and stopped being friends. In the 1990s, an unseen filmmaker trying to understand what really happened back then interviews the mostly reticent former band members: lead singers and songwriters Daisy Jones (Keough) and Billy Dunne (Claflin), lead guitarist Graham Dunne (Will Harrison), bassist Eddie Roundtree (Josh Whitehouse), drummer Warren Rojas (Sebastian Chacon), and keyboardist Karen Sirko (Suki Waterhouse).
Dane Cook. Before the New York Times reported on multiple sexual-misconduct allegations against Louis C.K. in 2017 that the comedian admitted were true, the biggest confirmed drama surrounding C.K. was between him and Dane Cook, who is featured in a new profile in The Hollywood Reporter today. Cook was accused of stealing C.K.’s jokes as early as 2007 — which he has denied multiple times, like during his 2010 interview with Marc Maron on WTF — and it all culminated in Cook’s appearance on a 2011 Louie episode where the two had an onscreen confrontation about it.

We’re not 100 percent certain this isn’t a method-acting tactic, but let’s just roll with the punches for now, okay? It’s a fun one! Because Daniel Day-Lewis, by all means a stately British chap with a whole lotta decorum, loves unwinding after a long day at the office with some good ole’ fashioned reality-TV programming. Danny Trejo. Danny Trejo graduated from being an indelible tough character actor to a bona fide leading man with the 2010 action comedy Machete. That film was itself inspired by a fake “Mex-ploitation” trailer made by director Robert Rodriguez for the omnibus film Grindhouse. The character of Machete, a heroic Mexican cop driven to the edge, was tailor-made for Trejo, and it fit him so well that, as the actor has noted, even his mom started calling him Machete.

Predictably, the results are hilarious. For example, here are their thoughts on Azealia Banks’s “212”: “Heems: This is cool. Kool A.D.: She kind of sounds like Bart Simpson.
