Harrys House Is a (Sexy) Shrine to Olivia Wilde

Rerecord “Olivia” if it’s real. Now why were we invited to Harry’s House if all we’re going to do is third wheel? Gone are the days of coy (read: cunnilingus) fruit references and despair over the end of his relationship with Camille Rowe. Harry Styles’s third studio album (out now, for those who observe) plays a game of kiss and tell, where he outdoes “Watermelon Sugar” lyrics with cringeworthy horniness.

Have You Seen Heckboy Yet?

Have you seen the new Heckboy? I have never been particularly into demon-superhero action blockbusters or their widely panned reboots, but for Heckboy, I will make an exception. Even if it means taking an unscheduled trip to Dickson, Tennessee, which appears to be the only place in the country currently screening Heckboy. CNN reports that Belinda Daniel — the owner of the Roxy 8 movie theater in Dickson — likes to edit out any offensive language in movie titles, so as not to corrupt the minds of students at the neighboring elementary school.

HBO Is Making a Decade-Long Harry Potter Series

The Boy Who Lived will live again (on our screens). The decade-long Harry Potter series that was announced in 2023 is still happening, though the project will now be branded as an HBO Original instead of a Max Original. We know that J.K. Rowling is on board as an executive producer, but who else is involved? Here, the latest updates on the crew of Muggles that will try to make some magic happen.

Hear Kristin Chenoweth and Ariana Grandes Rendition of You Dont Own Me

Ariana Grande’s extensions must have grown three sizes the day she found out she was collaborating with Kristin Chenoweth. And not only collaborating, but working together on a song from Ari’s movie obsession, The First Wives Club. Who can forget the staging of “thank u, next” on Ellen, 100 percent by and for the Wive Hive? Or when she got engaged to Pete Davidson, but mainly wanted to tweet about Wicked?

Hear Tina Fey As a Suburban Mom With Mighty Literary Aspirations

Rarely are short stories quite as satisfying as when George Saunders smooshes together scathing social commentary with dark humor and an undercurrent of human fragility. He accomplished that in his last collection, Tenth of December, and does so again in his new book, Liberation Day. Below, an audio excerpt of a story from the latest collection narrated by Tina Fey. Here’s a note from George to set the mood:

Heartstopper Is Coming Out Again Soon

Heart stop … carry on! Netflix’s gay teen romance Heartstopper is coming back for a third helping. The second, most recent season ended with Charlie (Joe Locke) almost ready to tell Nick (Kit Connor) he loves him (gasp), but chickening out. We remain hopeful that Charlie manages to work up the courage, or, as the Brits say, mettle. “While Heartstopper will always celebrate the joyful and point towards hope,” series creator Alice Oseman told Netflix, “I’m really excited that we are allowing the tone of the show to mature alongside our beloved characters growing up.

Heels Can Be Clunky But Also Winning

Jack (Stephen Amell) and Ace (Alexander Ludwig) are brothers, and Heels won’t let you forget it for one single second. When I sat down with screeners of Heels, the new Starz drama about a small-town wrestling league premiering this Sunday, not until episode two did things click into place about what this show is and what it wants to be. It’s not that the first episode fails to check all the necessary boxes of what a pilot should be — it does the boxes efficiently and with a respectable minimum of overobvious expositional stuff.
